Gruut Inferno
Light golden color. Aroma of pilsner malt and yeast. Has a nice herbal flavor, and some bitterness, but not enough to balance the intense sweetness. Flavors of cookies, biscuits, caramel. Was quite clean in the flavor. Well hidden alcohol. Except for the too low bitterness, I didn’t miss the hops. Was good, not great.

BBE 07/05/18. Haalean vaalea lagerin väri, semi-iso tuuhea viipyvä vaahto. Tuoksu hyvin ohut ja vetinen paskalagerin tyyppinen, suutuntuma alkoholisen marjaisan hyökkäävä ja yskityttävä, epämiellyttävä nopea mausteinen polte, mausteisuus jatkuu jälkimakuun, perus viinapommi. Ei jatkoon.

This is not a typical beer. It is a beer like drink and for that its perfect. I can hardly describe it, you have to taste it, espacially because it is made without hop. Its sweet and sour, totally interesting, but not everyones most likely beer. Cant imagine to drink it regularly.

Thank you for sharing kraddel + tderock + Rubin77! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ Bruges Beer Festival 2017. Hazy bright orange, little white head. Nose is awful cleaning products, green vegetable (extremely so), chemical. Taste is on top of everything else vinegar upfront, lemon acidity leading into cleaning products, green vegetables, aspirin, vinegar, chemical? Body is vinegar, aspirin, malt. Everything about this beer seems like a bad idea. Not a fan of spelt in general & 80 % is clearly far, far too much. Awful brew. I wouldn’t be surprised if something went wrong here.

Bottle in Gent. Clear golden pour with foamy white head, good retention. Soft aroma of malts, fruits and some unclear fresh spices. Taste is medium sweet, yellow fruits, both apple, tropical, as banana; light bitterness, somewhat spicy. Mouthfeel somewhat creamy, moderate carbo. Don’t experience the 9 ABV. Might to me be stronger of taste, being a tripel or being called ’inferno’.

Paksu valkoinen vaahto, joka jää pitkäksi aikaa oluen pinnalle. Väriltään oranssi/vaaleanrusehtava. Tuoksu varsin mieto, hedelmää ja makeutta, maussa makeahkoa hedelmäisyyttä. Ei juuri jälkipuraisua, suutuntuma ei kovin vahva, hieman metallisuutta havaittavissa. Alkoholi ei maistu liikaa kovista volteista huolimatta. Hiilihappoinen, paljon pieniä kuplia. Ei mikään erikoinen tapaus, paljon parempiakin Belgejä on maa täynnä.
