Aroma of grains, stone fruits, sugars. Taste is sweet with malts and grains, sugars, alcohol, notes of peaches and apricot, I can’t really taste any spices. Thank you for sharing kraddel + tderock + Rubin77! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ Bruges Beer Festival 2017. Hazy bright orange, little white head. Nose is awful cleaning products, green vegetable (extremely so), chemical. Taste is on top of everything else vinegar upfront, lemon acidity leading into cleaning products, green vegetables, aspirin, vinegar, chemical? Body is vinegar, aspirin, malt. Everything about this beer seems like a bad idea. Not a fan of spelt in general & 80 % is clearly far, far too much. Awful brew. I wouldn’t be surprised if something went wrong here.

Gruut Inferno
Bottle in Gent. Clear golden pour with foamy white head, good retention. Soft aroma of malts, fruits and some unclear fresh spices. Taste is medium sweet, yellow fruits, both apple, tropical, as banana; light bitterness, somewhat spicy. Mouthfeel somewhat creamy, moderate carbo. Don’t experience the 9 ABV. Might to me be stronger of taste, being a tripel or being called ’inferno’.

Hazy brown with quickly vanished beige head. Strong aroma of roasted malts, caramel, red fruits, plums, raisins, cherry, and indeed some nuts. Taste is quite sweet and quite much cherry and other red fruit; too much for me, and somewhat flat. Quite low carbonised. This beer is not well in balance to me; and not my taste...

Paksu valkoinen vaahto, joka jää pitkäksi aikaa oluen pinnalle. Väriltään oranssi/vaaleanrusehtava. Tuoksu varsin mieto, hedelmää ja makeutta, maussa makeahkoa hedelmäisyyttä. Ei juuri jälkipuraisua, suutuntuma ei kovin vahva, hieman metallisuutta havaittavissa. Alkoholi ei maistu liikaa kovista volteista huolimatta. Hiilihappoinen, paljon pieniä kuplia. Ei mikään erikoinen tapaus, paljon parempiakin Belgejä on maa täynnä.

A very hazy, brown color with a small, off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, sugar, and vanilla as well as some sweet dough. Taste of malts, caramel, sugar, dark fruits, and some notes I cannot distinguish from the mix yet feel their impact. A full body, a creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is sweet, medium long, and emphasizes the caramel. Overall, not bad.

330 ml bottle from the brewery. Almost clear golden body with a big, frothy, long lasting white head. Not much aroma, some pale malt, herbs, hint of mature apples and leaves. Flavor is quite sweet, white sugar, pale malt, yeast, herbs and hint of alcohol. Low bitterness. Medium to full body and sweet aftertaste. It’s kinda interesting when you know what these beers are about, but objectively it’s a rather dull beer.
