Backyard Marynka IPA
Cask. Aroma is toast, citrus mix of malt and hop. A bit bland for the strength. Pours pale golden amber with white top. Taste is medium bitterness, medium sourness, with a sweet honeyed note throughout. Drinkable but not overwhelmingly.

Bottle. Orange and poured with a small head.Lovely fruity flavour that impacts from the start.Very well balanced and deliciously drinkable. The nearest brewery to where I live and one one I tend to overlook. That will stop if they produce more beers like this one.

500ml bottle (4.5% ABV) at home on 11th June 2017. Misty pour, to the old gold coloured body, off-white crown. Citrus notes to the fore with a tropical spiciness also. Might have chilled it too much, got better as it warmed a little.

Cask @ The Crafty Crow, Nottingham. Nice aroma and flavour of the chinook hops, tastes a little bit thin but a decent little IPA, considering ABV is at the lower end for the style at only 5%. Nice to drink in the sunshine.

Keg at the Fountain, Walsall. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head and plenty of bubbles and some clingy lace. The aroma is sweet apples. The flavour is moderate sweet with a super sweet apple palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. I can’t rate ciders! A little sweet but not the worst cider I’ve had.

Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dusty, earthy, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, earthy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151008]
