The stout is a spin off of the Porter style that was widely popular in England in the 18th and 19th Century. History has it that - It is a bit more rich and "big" than a porter and was described as a "stoutly" porter, hence the name Stout. This brew uses a blend of U.S. grown and European grown malted barley. Larger quantities of dark roasted barley give this brew its deep dark color and roasted coffee notes. Uses Centennial hops grown in Yakima valley.
