Hoppy American Wheat - "De gustibus non est disputandum." (Latin for "In matters of taste, there is no argument") This expression certainly captures the spirit of Triticum (Latin for wheat) to a tee. We brewed this example of the "hops-showcasing" American Wheat to demonstrate why this up and coming style provides a "taste" that makes it worthy competitor to the beloved American IPA. Utilizing a hops blend of Polaris and the never-before released Stamm 36 (both experimental varieties from Hallertau) we’ve crafted a beer that has an amazing nose of citrus (most specifically mandarin orange) and a cooling-type flavor that our brewmaster describes as ’glacial candy mixed with bitter orange jam’. It’s a most excellent challenger to the American IPA...care to argue???
