Cask, Occasional; Also available in bottle Rich, dark and creamy, 1913 Cornish Stout is crafted from a recently discovered traditional recipe gleamed from our brewing journals of 1913. It has a fullsome depth and complexity of flavour. The chocolate and coffee overtones are balanced with roast malt and toffee fudge leading to a velvet smoothness on the tongue. Try it with a chilli or wholesome red meat dish. Stout has not been brewed at our Brewery since rationing during the Great War restricted the availability of the dark malts used to brew these beers. We have meticulously researched our oldest brewing journals to recreate one of our most popular beers from 100 years ago. 1913 Cornish stout is rich, full, smooth and chocolaty, yet is light on the palate with no lingering bitterness.
