Locally sourced river rocks, glowing with heat, were added to the kettle so the sugars could impart caramel and toffee flavors to this Scotch Ale. For all the sweetness, though, rye malt contributes to a fairly dry finish, making for a balanced, toasty treat—keep the ice cubes in the freezer.
