Starting point for this beer was our historic Koyt beer with 45% malted oats. We made it a bit stronger, added a some pale ale malt, a Styrian Goldings whirlpool hop and had some oak chips in the aging process. This is our interpretation of old durable Dutch ships beer; the name means ’Sailors’ and was found in old references about beer.
