Inspired by Benskin’s Colne Spring Ale. Refermented with Brettanomyces for at least 100 days.
For our 500th gyle we wanted to do something really special. With the addition of Brettanomyces yeast and one hundred days cask conditioning, this vintage ale is reminiscent of stock ales brewed over a century ago. It has a rich earthy fruitiness that is deftly balanced by a smooth bitterness and a delicious warming from the alcohol. These complex flavours will continue to develop for years to come.
