We brewed this ESB using long time fried of the brewery Matt Burton’s recipe. Matt was involved in the brewer since before it began and really helped get it started.
Extra Special/Strong Bitter despite "bitter" being in its name, ESB’s are not really all the bitter and are often comparable to a English version of a Pale Ale. This is quite balanced in the perceived hop bitterness and malty sweetness. A quaffable brew and upon first sip you will see why this is a favorite amoung Matt’s and English pub drinkers alike. Prost!
