Carlton Cold was launched in 1993 and enjoys a significant share of the packaged full-strength beer segment. Cold is produced with a cold-filtration process, pioneered in Australia by Carlton & United Breweries and is also the first beer in Australia to be packaged in clear glass and the only beer packaged in unbreakable PET bottles. Note: Went from 4.9% to 4.7%/4.6%, in 2002. Replaced by the cold filtered Cold, at 4%, in April 2009.
