The Province of Limburg is one of the 5 provinces of Flanders and one of the 10 of all the Belgian provinces. The original region used to be called the Earlship of Loon, during the middle ages, later on of the Prince of Liége. The Province of Limburg has also the oldest city of Belgium, namely ‘Tongeren’. This was the region where Julius Ceasar lost one of his only battles in history. He called the people of this region, “the bravest of them all”. This amazing white beer is being brewed in honor of our beautiful Province and it’s people throughout history till today! Limburgse Witte is a classic high fermented Belgian wheat beer. This is not the same as Weissbeer in Germany! The beer is brewed according the traditional way of brewing unfiltered wheat beer and gives a low alcohol volume of 5% alc. vol. The nice lightly taste of orange and the spicy touch of coriander makes the beer a perfect thirst-quencher! Turn with the bottle when halfway and pour the loose yeast in your glass, that's the perfect Limburgse witte, nice hazy real wheat. Serve it cold!
