Common descriptors are
Cask; Regular.
This cask conditioned traditional real ale is quite light golden in colour with an EBC of 17 (most lagers are 8-10 and ales 20+) and is brewed at 4.0% ABV. It is brewed with Maris Otter Pale Ale malt and a low percentage of crystal and wheat malt, for flavour and head retention qualities. The bitterness, which is not too high at 25 is derived from English Goldings hops, whilst the floral, citric (orange/grapefruit) hop aroma comes from the use of two continental varieties, namely Hallertau Hersbrucker and Styrian Goldings.
Liberation Ale is now available throughout the Channel Islands and has been extremely well received since its launch in time for the annual Liberation Day celebrations; the overall flavour and zesty nature of the beer has proved very popular. Liberation Ale will now be the flagship traditional ale in all of our outlets.
