Brewed with Julian Shrago (now of Beachwood Brewing). Named after the Laurel District of nearby Oakland. Oakland native and San Diego resident, home brewer of note, Julian joined Rodger Davis in the brew house to produce this Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial hopped pale ale. Previous batches have been as high as 7.7% ABV. [ Rahr 2-row (95%), Weyermann Carafoam (2.5%), Crisp Crystal 45 (2.5%). Mash temp 149*F. FWH: Amarillo; 60: Summit; 30: Centennial; 10: Columbus; KO: Amarillo/Summit. Dryhopped at 10oz/barrel with Amarillo, Centennial and Summit. OG: 1.068, FG: 1.013. White Labs 001 Fermented at 64*F. ]
