The Bohemian pilsner is a staple of the German diet, and we’re happy to include one for you in the 2014 Beau’s Oktoberfest mix pack! Pale blond in colour, Happy Pilsner’s light floral, herbal and honey aromas take your senses on a trip to their happy place: the ever-enjoyable taste of a crisp, clean traditional lager.

History & Style
The Bohemian pilsner was first brewed in 1842 in Pilsen, Bohemia. Pilsners were the first beers in the world to have a pale blond colour. Beau’s first brewed Happy Pilsner for happy Oktoberfest-goers in 2010, and we’re super-duper happy to bring it back for 2014.

Tasting Notes
Happy Pilsner has a delicate herbal, floral and honey-like aroma. Traditional to the style, the flavour has some yeast-derived soft sulfur notes. The hopping provides medium bitterness that balances the malt profile without harshness.

Food Pairings
Caviar, croque monsieur, fried calamari, enchiladas.
