The original whisky (Balmenach) was distilled in 1983 and has permeated the oak cask for 27 years. We replaced the whisky with our own stout leaving the cask sealed and undisturbed for several months, enabling the Æther spirit to infiltrate the Blæc magic, contributing to the complex flavours of this well rounded beer.
