This medium-bodied, red to dark brown colored Belgian-style ale has a malty sweetness and chocolate-like caramel aroma. It has a light hop flavor, low-medium to medium bitterness, and yeast generated fruity esters. Head retention is dense and mousse-like. It’s on the upper end of the scale for the style as far as strength. It has a tawny brown color, with toffee and caramel malt flavors. The yeast adds a plum, raisin, and spice character.
