One of the most elusive styles of Belgian ale, Saison was traditionally a lighter flavorful brew to quench and refresh those oh so thirsty seasonal farm laborers (a.k.a. Le Saissonniere). A generous dose of Lansing area grown and malted wheat, Traverse City-area grown hops combined with fermentation by special Belgian brewing yeast gives a wonderful ambrosial mix of yeastiness, citrusy- earthy hops, complex fruit/spice and a dry tart/bitter finish.
