Brewed with hot granite, we have re-introduced a brewing method used centuries ago, before the invention of the iron caldrons. We build a giant hard-wood fire in the beer gardens to heat granite rocks then introduce them to wort awaiting in the kettle. The rocks become carmelized once they hit the wort flavors to this beer. Brewed traditional in Ellicottville the last week of October, availble early December for a few weeks only. Spring of 2005 we did another batch due to demand.
