Hoppy red lager featuring the noble hop Tettnang, which is a spicy and floral hop used in many German pilsners and other German styles. The base beer starts with Pilsner and Munich malts, the reddish color and rich caramel and toasty flavor comes from the additions of caramel amber and victory malts. Tettnang was employed three times during the boil and once post fermentation. The New Zealand variety Nelson Sauvin was also used in the dryhop to boost hop aroma and add fruity notes. |
