Port Black Albert On Currants

Numbers, couples, and Stout are at the heart of this nuptial ale, in this case known as NUPTIALE. Ashley and Trey received the blessing from family and friends to be married on 8.17.13. The sum of their wedding date is two, however it’s added together: 8+17+13=38…3+8=11…1+1=2 or 8+(1+7)+(1+3)=20…2+0=2 Struise is mindful of numbers and math, especially considering the above scenario. As 2 = a couple, we decided to make two versions of the NUPTIALE. Alias A2 is our Black Albert, secondly fermented on peaches and aged in Anguilla Rum barrels. Alias T2 is the same ale, but secondly fermented with black currants and aged in Port barrels. Of course A stands for Ashley, T for Trey, and 2 being their lucky number. Whenever you have such a bottle in your possession, it will be your lucky day upon opening this marvelous barrel-aged stout. Just like any couple though, one is not complete without the other.
