This beer is brewed using a lager yeast which is then fermented at ale temperatures. That is why it is considered a hybrid beer. This process provides a crsip and clean flavor but without the fruity esters of an ale. Caramel and Pale Ale malts with Amarillo Hops were used to create this somewhat hoppy, copper colored ale.
