Aromas of rice and ripe red plums. Bright, mouthwatering acidity leads to a soft and chewy texture from the unfiltered rice particles. The ricey flavor in joined by gentle nutty and slightly fruity flavors in the long finish. Rihaku Shuzo was founded in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture in 1882. Rihaku Shuzo has won sake gold medals in 1982, ’84, ’87, ’88, ’90, ’91, ’95 and ’99. Yearly output at Rihaku is small - 540 kiloliters.
