Quantock White Hind Quantock Brewery Bishops Lydeard, Somerset
Beer style: Bitter - Ordinary / Best Ref: ratebeer.com May2024
Common descriptors are Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned. White Hind is a Best Bitter with a strength of 4.5% alcohol by volume. The beer is named after the well known white hind that used to be a regular sight on the Quantock Hills. Alas the hind is no longer, its body was found with its head removed. The head was later found in a stream and now hangs in West Bagborough village hall. The image on the pumpclip is taken from an actual photograph of the hind. The beer is brewed from a blend of four malts, the main ingredient being the best quality Maris Otter pale malt. This gives a full bodied beer with a deep amber colour, packed with malty flavour which is generously hopped with Target and Goldings hops. A true delight for the discerning drinker that wants a beer with taste and character that makes it stand out from the crowd. |
