fan of any beer made by passion/heart !
live in Québec Canada, and have tasted almost all the microbreweries in my province (well all the one I can put my hands on) I love wheat beers and bitters! a well balanced Dunkelweizen is my favorite, but also adore porter/stouts/strong ales/bitters/pale ales. I’m more a Belgian style drinker, trappist and abbaye style are awesome but I also love a good english beer at times. what do you want more? I JUST LOOOVE BEER!!! I try to rate beer at first feel without trying to go down deep in the 7th aroma note... I will tell what it does inspire me and rate it well if it’s what they advertise on the label and if it stands out for it’s kind....I wont give bad ratings to a beer just because I don’t like it!
only if I think the brew is mediocre and could have been better. if I don’t like it and still stands out for it’s style, who am I to down rate it?
Rating Chart : 0.0 to 1.9 : mediocre brew, doesn’t worth talking about even less spending money on it,
2.0 - 2.9:bad beer that I think doesn’t really match it’s style on top of not matching my personnal taste, may drink again but it depends
3.0 to 3.5: average beer and a little more ... not bad but nothing of a masterpiece, doesn’t innovate anything but still enjoyable . would probably buy again under given circumstances
3.5 to 3.9 : good beer, something that truly delivers on what they advertise without being too innovative either. but well done enough to be classed above average, would buy again.
4.0 to 4.4 : A must! in those marks it is because they satisfy 3 things : respect the beer style they advertise, an innovative brew and fills my personal taste. would recommend to anyone.
4.5 to 5.0 : I will probably never give a 5/5 for a beer just because no beer is perfect. but who knows? that rating does just about what the ’’4.0 to 4.5’’ beer does but even deeper , among my favorite beers ever, true art, Masterpiece of it’s own kind. would drink everyday of my life!! Cheers
