Get the Abbey-style ale when available, an IPA or sweet stout next, or settle for any ale they have (or a weiss beer if they have no ale). When in Holland, ask for Belgian beer. In the U.S., tell the waiter that "Sam Adams" is a brewery--what kinds of Sam Adams do they serve? Avoid Pilsner.
