I’m hoping the current hop shortage will weed out some of these overhopped beers. The hop fad reminds me of the chile pepper craze of the 90’s where every macho American would try to come up with the hottest hot sauce they could get, thereby eliminating any pleasure to be found in the food they put it on. American beers seem to be the same way with hops now. I’m hoping that the hop fad goes away quietly.
