So, this is weird:
I have never had a beer.
But I’ve driven long distances and flown around in search of special beer. I have spent hours sitting in bars and brewpubs around the Midwest and West Coast—and now, when I travel to a new city…searching for the best bottle shops and brewpubs is something that I instinctively do.
I cried when I drove from Ann Arbor to Warren and discovered that Kuhnhenn is closed on Sundays.
My ratings obviously fail to reflect taste and rarely discuss selection (except shops), but are very detailed (and sober) commentaries on ambiance, service and food.
There are two boys to blame (or credit) for this strange fascination. At the end of the day, I think that I do it mostly for the adventures and stories that inevitably follow.
