Green Flash Fest Beer:
The reference to Fest Beer points back to the German Oktoberfest, which originated in late September on into early October of 1810. This was a wedding celebration for the Crown Prince of Bavaria that lasted for a few weeks. The beer served was the leftover Marzen (the last beer brewed in March) that had been stored in cool caves during the warm summer months. No German beer was brewed during the summer before there was refrigeration. Our version of Fest Beer holds true to its roots as an orange/amber lager with a toasted malt zing and some fancy footwork with Tettnanger hops to liven up the style. 5.5% abv
