Description:
A SPECIAL beer has been brewed for the Rutland Camra Beer Festival. Rutland Knight has been produced by local brewers and will be sold at the festival, which runs from July 19 to July 21 at Rutland County Museum. Eight nine-gallon barrels of the drink have been made by master brewer and landlord of the Exeter Arms in Barrowden Martin Allsopp and Rutland Camra member Gary Hoyles, using a recipe developed by Camra member and former head brewer of Oakham Ales in Peterborough, John Wood. The beer has been made from two American hops, three malts and live yeast donated by the Belvoir Brewery in Old Dalby, Leicestershire. Proceeds from its sales at the festival will go towards Knight School Rutland.
