Description:
An experiment where we tried to make a classic British strong ale, as they used to be brewed. A very bitter and flavorful ale hopped with copious amounts of British whole leaf hops added in several steps during the brew process - with the last addition directly in the cask from where the ale is served. Spicy, floral aroma combined with a firm malt profile makes this brew strong tasting, but still very quaffable.
Brewed on Maris Otter ale malt, two types of caramel malt and the finest Demerare cane sugar.
Ølfabrikken "Britisk Strong Ale" is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers.
Introduced on 'Fynske Øldage' 2005.
