The Waituna Brewing Company has interwoven the tradition of Maori with an innovative brewing process, creating Taakawa (tar-car-wa) ’fruit of the forest’, New Zealand’s first indigenous ale.
Containing all natural ingredients, each batch captures the fruity aroma of Kawakawa, a native spice gathered from the forests of Aotearoa, blended with the soft, smooth taste of Waituna spring water, creating a refreshing golden ale with a unique taste.
Our Waituna symbol of the tuna (eel) represents how the two cultures of this land are intertwined. Serve chilled. Kia ora.
