Centuries ago, Belgian brewer Het Anker brewed a special beer to celebrate the birthday of Emperor Charles V. Charles, the only Holy Roman Emperor to rule Europe from Belgium. In 1999, Charles Leclef, the 5th generation owner of Het Anker, decided to again brew this special beer to honor the Emperor, creating a stronger version of the original beer that has gone on to win multiple international awards, including World’s Best Belgian-Style Strong Beer at the 2015 World Beer Awards. Come celebrate this very special beer with a tap takeover of specially-priced Het Anker beers, and free glassware while supplies last!
