Det Bette Ølhus

UPDATE August 2020: Det Bette Ølhus is no longer a beer store / off-licence, but continues as a beer café / pub. No bottles sold out of house. They do not serve food, only beer and snacks. Original rating: Nice beer store (mainly Belgian beers) and beer bar, with limited and varying opening hours (check their website for details). Located at the main road through Ålbæk / Aalbæk. Quite a few new ticks for me, could have had more. Fair prices. They also sell glassware. Friendly staff. If you need some Danish beers too, there is a fairly big SPAR store just across the road.

Nice place, with a bar and beer shop. A good selection of Belgian beers and local microbrew. The bar has 8 taps and a good bottle selection. Reasonable prices.

What a pleasant surprise to find this wonderful cafe/pub/bottle shop dedicated to Belgian beers on our way biking from Sæby to Skagen! Tasty beers on tap, friendly service and a superb selection of bottles. Not to be missed.

Only went for shopping, and came home with a handsome case of belgian beers, as well as some exclusive beer glasses. Visited on a Saturday afternoon, so the place was packed with people in the restaurant/cafe - and they all seemed to enjoy their beers greatly. Super selection of both bottles and glasses, in a spacious and well organised shop.

Great place. The bottle shop has the best selection of any place in the area with fair prices. The café is cosy, but it was a summer day, so we sat outside on the patio. Food is fine, but more like snacks than a meal. Worth a detour!

A nice bottle shop wit a good selection of belgian beers. They also have a little cafe with 8 taps and you can get the beer from the bottle shop served chilled. A place to visit again. Friendly staff.

Best place in the area.

A fantastic beer store in the small village Ålbæk. Great selection of Belgian beers and some few other Trappist beer. Great service, but be aware of that you can’t pay with credit card. And, there are only price tags on the shelves, not on the bottles. Payment may take some time if you buy many different bottles. Cash machine is across the street. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Denmark by car. (Visited August 7th 2014)

Nice selection of Belgian beers + some Danish micros. The owner is very knowledgeable about what she sells. Ok selection on tap, some trappist cheese and pates. As a norwegian a perfect place to fill the car with beer for some cellaring. Fair prices.

Great place to stock up on Belgian beer. Huge selection, very fair prices. Definately a place to visit when in Skagen or Frederikshavn.
