It definitely feels like the place has been there for decades. Located just off the main drag in Downtown Amherst, this place has a decent sized beer selection in the back of the store. Yes this place sells a lot of BMC and paint thinner liquor on a Friday night, but they also have a lot of craft beer at extremely reasonable prices. And, other than finding last years Vertical Epic they seemed to mow product quickly. Oh...Russell’s. I’m pretty sure this is the first place I legally bought beer and liquor in the united states. Great little mom and pop new england packie. wide selection of craft beers in 6 packs, bombers, and 750’s. i can remember exactly what it looks and smells like. Typical college package store. Large selection of cheap beer and kegs. OK selection of quality beers but don’t kid yourself - this store feeds the Frats the cheap 30 racks. |
