It definitely feels like the place has been there for decades. Located just off the main drag in Downtown Amherst, this place has a decent sized beer selection in the back of the store. Yes this place sells a lot of BMC and paint thinner liquor on a Friday night, but they also have a lot of craft beer at extremely reasonable prices. And, other than finding last years Vertical Epic they seemed to move product quickly. And I found the service incredibly nice and helpful as well.

Oh...Russell’s. I’m pretty sure this is the first place I legally bought beer and liquor in the united states. Great little mom and pop new england packie. wide selection of craft beers in 6 packs, bombers, and 750’s. i can remember exactly what it looks and smells like. Pretty sure others bought me some beer here when I was underage as well.

Typical college package store. Large selection of cheap beer and kegs. OK selection of quality beers but don’t kid yourself - this store feeds the Frats the cheap 30 racks.
