Snowshoe Brewing Company

Visited Memorial Day weekend 2019. This place has been around forever and it's the only game in town, so might as well give it a tick. Typical mountain brewery ambiance with sort of a wood cabin vibe to it. We sat at a table near the bar with our group. Drafts written on a chalkboard near the bar. Beer quality is, well, not the greatest but not awful. Would come back if I were up here again.

nothing super special, but a surprisingly pleasant tap list in the middle of nothing (went there after a tough mudder). I’d go back if I found myself in the area again.

I liked this place when I visited it a while back. Classic rustic brewpub scene. A gem out in the middle of nowhere. Every thing is pretty good. For a good time check it out.

Stopped in on our way back from Bear Valley skiing. A nice place right from the start. Very family friendly (which matters to me at least). Had one of the better menus I have ever seen at a brewpub, and the food was all good. Seven beers on tap, with 5 core brews and a couple of rotating seasonals. Beers ranged from meh to pretty damn good (although in fairness the two I didn’t like my wife loved). Kids had fun, I got to do a taster, and we all had good food. Wife even asked to take home a sixer and a growler of her favorites, which is certainly not the norm. Recommended if you find yourself in Arnold.

Stopped by the other day for the first time, the place was packed, as it was in between Christmas and New Years, and there is NO SNOW!. The place was packed, but we were told we could wait in the bar. This place used to be the old Meadowmont Inn, where we had spent many a nite long ago, as we had lived up there. Got a table sooner than later. The owner/manager turned out to be the same guy that ran the Inn way back when and remembered us. Needless to say, the service was excellent. The food was standard pub fare, and the beers were good. Between the four of us we had the IPA, Brown Ale, and the Apricot Wheat, all fairly decent. If you are up in the area, it is worth the stop

Well worth the side trip if you’re anywhere near the area. Not much to look at on the outside, but the inside was done up in a nice log cabin sort of feel. Not very busy when I was there, but there was a steady flow of folks coming in to have their growlers filled. I had a fantastic Pale ale (the Thompson) and a really nice Oatmeal stout. The waitress behind the bar was friendly and gave me a free sample of one of their seasonal beers. I could see this place being pretty hopping on a weekend night. Definitely worth a trip.
