Barley Cargo

Just quickly popped in to buy some bottles. Overally not very impressed, bottle selection looks huge, but on a closer look it's not that impressive in term of breweries. Staff was not much helpful either and went only by beer names. Maybe drink in experience is better? EDIT: okay, drink in experience is way different. Yes the prices might go bit high, but let's be it. And I had much better waiter today.

Large open bar with something like 20 taps. Prices can be pretty steep for some of the beers (9 Euros for Seven Island for example) but they do offer flights at 2 different price levels depending on the beers chosen. Huge selection of bottles for drink in and take away. Definitely one to visit.

Proper beer-focussed bar, ticks all the boxes. Large place - a long bar down one side with a sizeable fridge nook at one end, and display bottles of beer down the opposite side, topped off with beer-themed furnature in between - repurposed kegs and crates, for example. Music playing at the right volume so that you can hear it if you like it and ignore it if you don't, and most of the time I liked it. Beer selection was excellent. something like 250 Greek bottled beers, and plenty of well-chosen internationals. Alas some were out, but that's because they were regular seasonal beers they usually would have, but that weren't made in 2021 because of CoViD, so exceptional circumstances. A separate take-away menu too, with lower prices. On tap, there was a christmas festival going on, so there were rotating specials, about half were greek and ticks, but the belgians were so damn tempting that we just quit ticking, I'm having my Gouden Carolus and St Bernardus Noels, thank you! Service was amazingly quick and efficient, friendly too, and the english spoken was tip-top. Food was wonderful - huge portions of meaty fare at really cheap prices. Absolutely world-class beer place, completely stomps on anything in the baltic states. This would probably be my local if I was local. Does get a little noisier as the evening progresses, but even when busy the service was tip-top.

Large place this is. They do flights and speak English quite well. Might get crowded at evenings. Food here is delicious and portions quite large. Must visit when in city.

Large place with lots of place inside in one of the streets in the old centre of Athens - walkable distance from Monatiraki square. Industrial, large and lacks some of the Greek feeling. Otherwise, a place that you'd frequent.

Nice bar with a big selection of tap beer and bottles, but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Visited 5/12/2018. Cracking place for picking up different Greek breweries, must be well over half of Greece’s brewers and contract brewers featured. Although I’d already got a fair number, still found 18 new breweries to take out. Nice tap selection too and an international beer selection though I paid no attention to the latter. Helpful service. Large venue, almost empty much of the time we were there (mid/late afternoon), so not a lot of atmosphere but meant all the more time for me to get help to choose my beers.

Modern place, industrial craft look, could be anywhere in the world, with lots of taps at the long bar, I counted 17, 9 of them Greek. Relaxed athmosphere, almost empty at my visit.
