82 I’m not sure why this place gets a bad wrap. Good food, authentic atmosphere, with a nice selection of regional beers at very low prices. No, they don’t serve a West Coast IPA, but then agin , this ain’t San Diego…., |
62 In a classic small building, but it grows inside. Main hall upstairs. Super classic interior. Slovak dishes. Dobre Pifko 9° 3.3% good. |
66 Visited May 2022. Rustic touristic traditional Pub / Restaurant. Excellent food nonetheless for good value! Not a beer place, but they have 2 beers on tap, both from Kláštorný (Svetly and Tmavy), which were pretty good! Good place, but not a beery place. |
54 This is a popular restaurant geared towards tourists, most of the clientele were German speakers when I stopped by. The place is large with multiple rooms in an older building, very traditional looking. The menu has all the classic Slovak dishes that you would expect. Beer list is limited and includes some macros, but it was interesting enough. The food is tasty and filling. For whatever reason my food took over an hour to prepare - people arrived, ordered, got their food, ate and left while I was still waiting. Worth a look once I guess. |
66 Old-fashioned, rather large restaurant on one of the main drags of Bratislava. It is located upstairs, so take the stairs next to the hallway to enter. Nice ambiance with lots of wood, several small rooms and some paintings on the wall (that sometimes don't really fit though). It has been pretty empty during my visit, the waiter was almost bored, but that's due to the fact that they don't allow for seating outside, I guess, as at all places around the city centre only the outdoor areas were packed (that is on a Tuesday evening during Summer). Beer selection is limited to three beers by Kláštorný pivovar plus a few macro ones, prices are quite good though. This place is all about traditional Slovak food, prices as well as quality are very decent. Service was good, at least quick and attentive, even though the waiter seemed a little grumpy, especially when people at another table weren't able to figure out which dishes were gluten-free despite the menu explicitly highlighting them. Good place, no tourist trap even if it is one of the best-known places among tourists, absolutely recommended for having food in a special setting.

56 Old style restaurant, not too far from the center. Decent English and quick service. Food prices are not cheap, when you're coming from Czech republic, but beer is still super cheap. Selection between one house beer and a couple of macros. Good food. Overall: good traditional food place, not much of a beer destination. |
68 15.05.2017 Lokalizacja 10 minut pieszo od rynku. Wystrój/Atmosfera Duży lokal z kilkoma pomieszczeniami, wystrój karczmiany. Obsługa Można porozumieć się w języku angielskim. Obsługa miła i pomocna. Wybór piw 10 kranów, a na nich własne piwo i słowackie koncerniaki. Podsumowanie Warty odwiedzenia ze względu na atmosferę i dobre jedzenie. |
58 Touristic pub close to the old town of the part. Was our first stop in Bratislava as we wanted to try some local dishes. Nice ambiance on the first floor of an old building, wooden interieur. Beer selection is very limited, one house beer form Klastorny pivovar and soem beers from Heineken Slovakia. Food was great and a nice introduction into the local food scene. |
52 Touristic place with interesting ambience. Good choice of traditional food. Actually not a pub, but touristic traditional restaurant. |
74 Very good restaurant in the center of the city. NIce varieties of Slovak beers and good local food! |
