October 26, 2009 Huge tavern buit in traditional Slovak style with many rooms and wooden furniture. More of a student/traveller place. Food, especially Slovak cousine is tasty. Small selection of beer. |

January 10, 2009 I visited here in August 08. This place was always busy and managed to get in here earlier on in the day. Good traditional Slovak food available and washed it down with local brew. Seems to attract a mixed crowd and great place to hang out if you’re in town. |

July 15, 2008 Just went here for a short visit, couldn’t drink anything as I was driving. Asked for bottled beers, which they apparently didn’t. Came back later with a 0,5 litre water bottle which they filled without question. Insanely cheap. |

June 17, 2007 [ Updated July 30, 2008 ] A great place to recover from a hangover. The gulash is fantatsic. The rooms weave and provide you with privacy in the labarinth of well decorated historical rooms. The multi languiage menus are a great help when ordering. Beeers are standard area brews but not slaved to one brewery which is not the norm in B Town. |

March 19, 2007 Lots of little rooms, I also had the Garlic soup in a bread bowl and asked the barman for a local beer which I drunkedly dont remember the name of, somewhere to visit but not to spend the evening! (oh and the local students can bring their exam results in and if they got an "A" they get free soup) |

September 17, 2006 Opposite the Vysoká tramstop on route 1 from the main station (Hlavni Stanica) into town, this place seems like it is owned by Heineken but they don’t let on. They serve a commendable 10 draught (čapované) Slovak beers, most Heineken products and no Stein, including a good house beer called Dobré pifko 12° which, I have been assured in an email by the pub, is from Heineken! Our pick of the beers were the citrussy Dobré pifko and the luscious Mackeson-esque Šariš tmavý 11° dark lager. The food is also excellent, especially the garlic soup and sheep’s cheese with spicy sausage & gnocchi! Highly recommended. |

April 28, 2006 Totally dissapointed, none of their own beers, and the menu is a mess. NOthing to eat after 8:30!!!. Avoid going there if you do not want to have a MacDonalds with Coke and going mad to bed. |

November 2, 2005 This is the best beer place that I’ve ever visited. Good offer of different food and beer with the reasonable prices in very relaxing and cosy ambient, but in the evening the biggest problem is how to find a free seat. |

October 19, 2005 Very student-friendly place with cheap food and beer. Wooden stoves on chilly nights. More a place to hang out with friends than for a tourist. |
