78 Visited on 28 June 2021. Takes the award for the most expensive draught beer I've ever seen (wasn't even in London). £14.30 for a third of Alesmith Barley Wine. I'm sure it was epic, but I couldn't quite justify the price tag.
A nice, spacious pub. Draught list is very good; kind of in line with a mid level London Craft Beer Co. The one server was very knowledgeable and friendly. A nice place to pop into.
Beer list was definitely not that local centric. Coming from London, there wasn't really anything I wouldn't expect to see in a load of bars in the city. However, they were fairly unique for the area. |

100 Incredible place, unparalleled beer selection and amazing team. |
100 There’s beer and there’s BEER. This place has the latter. |

72 Classic Craft Beer Co, perhaps better than average, as it has a more oldy-worldy wood-on-wood feel to it. Good staff, know what they're selling. Plenty of real ale, butmore keg than you can shake a stick at - and all with pumpclips unlike those horrible taps-from-a-wall squint-to-decode-the-blackboard places. Has tough competition locally, but the beer quality was pretty decent here, and, as important for me in nutter mode, very ticky. Given that you are going to the BDB if you're in town, you are coming here too, it makes no sense not to. |
100 Simply the best in Brighton for local and World beating Craft Beer! |
84 Visited on tour to 22 southern counties with OGJ and EE 05.01.19. Five ales on cask, all served without sparklers. Lots more keg beer - all interesting. |
92 I like the layout of this place. Bartenders always nice and offering you to sample if you aren’t sure what you want. Always had good beer here! |
