Pivo Söröző

A true Czech place; small, dark and unassuming in a nice urban neighborhood of Pest. Mostly locals visit here and can sometimes be busy but they usually have some Czech beers on tap that usually aren't found elsewhere in Budapest. The server can usually speak some English.

A place to beer, worth Czeching out...

Czech bar with a number of standard Czech beers on tap, and bottles, including some Kocour. A little dark inside, but cozy enough. Okies service allthough a bit slow, and fine prices. Even though i love Czech beers, this wasnt really what i was looking while in Budapest.

Very small place, good selection of Czech beers (Cerna Hora, Bernard, some others), small selection of Czech pub dishes, although the uneatable Hungarian toast bread is clearly a wekness here. Service is sometimes slow, due to the crowd. Otherwise the beer is excellent and that sells the place.

Small bar very close to Különleges Sörök Boltja, easily reachable bu public transport. Retro Czech looking interior with few rotating beers on tap plus some bottled. Service ok but the beers are a bit overpriced. But if you are looking for Czech beers in Budapest this is the right place.

Czech cozy little pub, good selection of Czech beer specialties and small breweries beers.

Two blocks off the main action but worth the trek. Dark wood and mirrors, atmosphere mainly chat plus smoke without extractors. Must have everything from Cerna Hora and quite a lot from Bernard plus an evolving range of newer beers from established Czech breweries, chosen to represent a fuller breadth of styles than would be found in most Czech bars.

Small, quite cozy Czech pub. 5 Czech beers on tap. 23 different Czech beers on bottles. Quite cheap prices. I also managed to get wi-fi connection even though the bartender said they don’t have one. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit. There are not that much places in Budapest selling anything else than pale lager.
