May 2, 2012 Originally reviewed: 9/24/10. Stopped by here each day I was in town for business. Perfect place for my afternoon beer. Didn’t eat anything this time I was in town, but have eaten here before. Good food if I remember correctly. Sat at the bar each time. Good bartenders. Friendly and helpful. I had a couple questions about their beers which he answered, or went and found out the answer. Had a couple of their beers. Very good beer. Their brewer must have changed things up as these were quality brews. The place is pretty open. Some tvs there for sports, some pool tables available as well. Just off of Tryon Street, so you are close to everything. Not a bad place to stop for a bite to eat and some good beer. |

November 22, 2011 Great location in Uptown Charlotte. I was here with a large group, so didn’t focus too much on the beers, although the one I got was quite tasty (Winter’s Nip, their seasonal - they also have 5 regulars). The food menu is superb. They had holiday specials when I was there and I got the chicken and chorizo mac and cheese, which was super tasty (and heaping!). The pumpkin cheesecake was tasty as well. Definitely a chill place, I can see myself coming back when in the area. |

January 8, 2011 Got here on a fairly quiet Thursday afternoon before the Meineke Bowl pep rally. Nice location right in Uptown; easy, cheap parking at a nearby garage. Had a couple of respectable beers and a tasty, messy plate of nachos. Service was good and $2.50 for drafts of good beer is tough to beat. |

October 8, 2010 I enjoyed my visits to rockbottom. Found the staff friendly and attentive. Food was good. Liked the beers, starting with a sampler. Look forward to return trips. |

May 10, 2010 Stopped in here to eat dinner last Friday night. Upon walking in it looked like a typical restaurant that one might come across in downtown Charlotte. The wait staff was nothing less than awesome. Not only did they know what went into all of the food (I was with a person with a food allergy), they also knew each of the beers they had quite well. I must say, the beer there was quite good (had a sampler) with the Stingin’ Brits IPA being my favorite. The food was quite good as well. Overall if you are staying in the area it is worth checking out, even if it is just for a beer or two. You won’t be disappointed. |

February 23, 2010 Rock Bottom in Charlotte is probably the best Rock Bottom that I have visited. The place is nice and the service is top notch. The burned our food and it took a while, so they did not charge us for our food (A+ service). The beer is so-so, but all Rock Bottom beer is so-so. Overall it is a good place (if in Charlotte) to stop in for some food and a few beer, I will definitly go back again. |

January 2, 2010 Very commercial. More a restaurant than brew pub. |

October 31, 2009 Similar to most rock bottoms. Allows smoking wich is a negative. Has a full bar. Didnt sample the food. A nice environment overall. |

August 6, 2009 The beers at Rock Bottom were fresh and very good. I had an IPA which apparently is a new recipe and it was tremendous. The seasonals are always good. Several of the beers are pretty average, but that makes sense for appealing to many "macro" beer fans that come there. Food is usually good as well. |

July 5, 2009 Everything about this joint screams average. Typical bar/grill chain decor. Uneventful beer list featuring the expected styles. Run of the mill menu. One thing that the cool is the brick oven near the back of the dining room. Its spacious and the service and food was good. Nothing outstanding but solid all around. Beers were well crafted with my faves being the Iron Horse (Sweet) Stout and the brown which features a sweet earthy malt. |
