Visited after dinner on a Monday. Located in a nicer suburban strip mall, with a cool looking indoor / outdoor design. Plenty of seating at the bar, or at tables inside or out. Draft beers are listed on the Chalk Board. Selection of 40 beers covers many locals, regionals and a few selected national craft. Their web site had a live cam of the list, which was nice. Appeared to have flights available. Big part of the draw is the 8 full fridge doors of bottles and cans for on site or to go. Service was efficient, younger crowd for the area. Cool vibe. No food.

76 = *** (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

If it's an option for you, go to the soulard itap. It's so much better.

Visited at the end of April 2015. Nice enough place but in a horrible location - hidden back in a strip mall. Selection was decent with a good mix of MO beers, some harder to find, and other things that are readily available in most places. Place was almost empty. Bartender seemed to know his beer, but was more interested in telling a few customers about a novel he just wrote than in attending to his customers. Nice enough guy, though, but just somewhat distracted. Lots to TVs. Fairly sterile atmosphere. I got two flights of five beers which were $15 per flight. Seems a bit steep, though most were high end beers. Overall worth a visit and you might find a few new beers.

Stopped in for the GI Tap Takeover during STL Craft Beer Week. Considering BCS was on tap, I was going to be there. Best part is that it was on for the full two hours I was there. It was more of a sports bar type feel in a strip mall. The service was excellent, very friendly and prompt service. No food as with the Soulard location, but I saw people bringing food in and one group even had Domino’s delivered. Prices seemed reasonable $4-5 for a pint and $8 for 10 ounces of BCS, plus free GI glassware with purchase. The customers at the bar were also really cool. Overall, I had a blast here and would come back.

The only thing that brought this place down for me was how packed it was and the noise level. The atmosphere was very go-go-go and the patrons did not appear to be the type you would see at a typical beer bar. That said they had a great selection of beers and provided flights at a good price. The bartenders were very knowledgable and helpful. I would definitely go back to this place again.

Forty taps, all high-end. About a million bottles from everywhere. Dizzying diversity, probably the largest I’ve ever seen at a bar. Bartenders were attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Not just knowledgeable about the current offerings and prices, but what is coming up, beer styles, breweries, ingredients, etc. Cool concepts for daily specials: local night, half-off half the taps, kill the keg, etc. Dim, casual, non-intimidating. I too wish they offered a little something to eat, but as long as they allow you to bring your own in and/or allow local deliveries, I can live with it. The only problem, the thing which keeps this from being true beer nirvana, is that iTap feels very expensive. Except for the aforementioned specials, pints were mostly 6 or 7 dollars and way upwards in some cases, and a sampler is over $15, I’m scared to ask how much a growler would cost! I get it: these are super-premium luxury items, so they are priced accordingly, and most of the clientel had a real "if you have to ask you can’t afford it" look to them. It would obviously be cheaper to buy these beers at a liquor store if you can find them--but you can’t in many cases--so the main iTap attraction for me is the possibility of finding extremely obscure beers for the first time.

This is a fantastic craft beer bar with a huge selection of great beers. there are always 40 beers on tap, and they are constantly changing the taps so you will never get bored of the same thing. There is also a huge selection of bottles to choose from. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. There is also a nice crowd of people that love good beer and help others to select good beers.

Went there on a Friday night in the winter. It was packed! The crowd was younger than I anticipated - about 2/3rds college aged or early to mid 20’s. Service was good despite the crowd and the bartenders were knowledgeable. The place is starkly furnished, so don’t go there expecting to find a comfy chair to sit on. Funny thing - at 11:30, all of the college kids left and the place was suddenly fairly empty. I wish they’d expand and add a kitchen with appropriate bar food.
