| Maduro54 (11), , | | December 26, 2011 good advice from folks there especially Brady the Beer advisor.(don’t let tatoos fool you). Nice place. Relaxed. | artmcd8 (3), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | May 4, 2011 This is a great place to mix a six or have a draft after work. | | cheapdark (128), Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania | | April 22, 2011 OK, this is a very beer friendly location; clean welcoming place and people. Very nice selection but perhaps not any really rare beers, except a couple of random niceties. After 2.5K tastings I was still able to find a few new ones here. Bar-b-que day; free samples and it was GOOD. Over all good beer experience. Impressed. | | Acetobacter (46), Pennsylvania | | February 20, 2010 I have visited this place twice over the past few months. On both occasions, Rich, the owner, was there. He’s a really nice guy, and seems quite eager to do what he can to make customers’ experience there as enjoyable as possible. The location sits on a main thoroughfare between Cheswick and Springdale, and is noticeable due to the large "BEER" sign out front. The interior is well-lit, family friendly, and spotlessly clean. There are three rotating beers on tap, with somewhere between 150-200 bottles in both single and 4/6-pack form. Both common and harder-to-find craft and European stuff was stocked, and there seemed to be a larger selection in my second visit. The prices are excellent. The beers my wife and I sampled were at least 30-40% less than what we’ve paid anywhere else in the Pittsburgh area. Food options are limited to big hot dogs and bratwurst, but we tried the former and thought they were quite good. Overall, this place seems to be a hidden gem. Absolutely worth a visit. |
