Lush Wine and Spirits - West Town

2016-11-05. Popped in relatively late on a Saturday night. It seems to have a bar/tasting area to the left, which I confess I sort of ignored in a rush to the beer fridge! The selection is not extensive compared to bigger stores like Binny’s but is well chosen with some good quality options. I mostly opted for cans and bottles from Pipeworks today. Cashier was quite friendly and helped us greatly in packing up our purchases along with helping me wrangle my coat and earlier purchases at CVS. Surprisingly spacious, nice wooden decor, I actually pulled up a bench to the beer fridge while browsing!. I didn’t really compare pricing since I am not familiar with the going rates for things locally. Some things I looked at seemed quite reasonable while others were on the slightly higher side. May not be worth a detour compared to some of the other bigger names in town, but we were staying around the corner and they had enough on offer that I would have bought a lot more if not limited by luggage space. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Lush now has a store just off downtown. Very friendly, yes wine oriented. This place really worked because it was close to my hotel by taxi, and is next door to the Noble Grape and between them was able to put together a decent box of beer at a fair price. Really nice inside, and they have occasional beer tastings. They could easily add some taps.
