| christoph (10), littleton, Colorado | | May 5, 2012 House beers are very good and a pretty decent guest tap list. Food is very good some of the best burgers in town. prices are pretty average for the area but food is much better. Love this place would recommend. | | rhialistic (13), Denver, Colorado | | April 1, 2012 Very high quality local brews, big selection, inexpensive prices, and the food never disappoints. Service is super friendly every time. Quite lively/loud atmosphere. Bring your cash and your friends! | | Steve_0 (38), Denver, Colorado | | March 17, 2012 Place was pretty laid back. The area is OK, there isn’t much else around. The service here was great, very fast and the people are cool. The beer is pretty good and they have some good guest taps from other breweries. The food was OK, but it was super cheap, like $8 for a burger. Also, they’ll let you sample any beer you want and pints are only $4.50. | | Camons (67), Hasselager, Denmark | | March 6, 2012 [ Updated March 22, 2012 ] Big brewpub a little bit away from down town Denver. Huge room, big bar, lots of tables, but still very crowded the 3 times i have visited. Diverse crowd going from lots of students, families with kids and the odd beernerd. 20 or so taps, with like 14 been there own beer, rest is geusttaps. Was there doing febuary, wich is stout month at the pub, so the taplist was heavyly towards stouts. Will proberly be more diverse when the stout thing isnt on. Good quality beer, both there own stuff and the guest taps. Pretty nice food, well above the standard pub grup, freshly made everyday. Good service and decently priced. Recommanded. | | rivertranced (13), Denver, Colorado | | January 31, 2012 I love all three Mountain Sun locations...each better than the next. My favorite is Southern Sun, but living in Denver I get to Vine St much more frequently.
Their beers are tough to beat, especially by brewpub standards. The only brewpub I’ve been to that produces as many quality beers is probably NXNW in Austin, but they don’t diversify as much as the Mountain Sun/Vine St pubs. I’d consider the Java Porter to be one of the flagships, and I haven’t had many coffee porters that were better.
They often have great guest taps, especially during beer fest.
Service is always good, and the food is fresh, natural, and delicious.
I definitely don’t get over there enough, especially now that I have discovered Hops & Pie, but this place really holds a special place in my heart. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | October 31, 2011 Street parking in a somewhat quite area of Denver. I didn’t try the food but it looked pretty good. Beers were [almost] all Mountain Sun and pretty decent. Very mellow and slightly bright atmosphere. Service was a touch on the slow side. Cash only. A couple stand out beers. A good stop. | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | October 9, 2011 Casual restaurant/bistro/bar with large patio. Friendly service, and Mountain Sun beers. | | fredandboboflo (62), East Setauket, New York | | September 21, 2011 Great beer and though my stay was brief, what seemed like very attentive service despite a very busy hour. Had a very young, partying sort of feel to it when I was there, though not sure how much that was related to the live music coming up. Did seem to be located in an are with lots of bars for the younger folks though, so I suspect that was pretty typical. Other than that, though, can’t complain, I’d gladly go for the beers again. | | onceblind (66), Denver, Colorado | | August 20, 2011 Amazing place to hang out, drink, eat, whatever. Super friendly staff, the ambiance feels like a Boulder hippie coffee house, there’s art, and lots of quirkiness. The food is a tad expensive if you’re on a budget, but soo worth it. Beer is usually top notch as well. Only one beer is lame, and the rest are above average. They also have some guest taps from around the country. | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | July 31, 2011 I stopped by on a Sunday night and this place was completely packed. There is a small interior with just a small straight bar and a number of tables. There is also outdoor seating, which was very popular as there was some music playing later that night. The crowd was pretty young, definitely college-aged types. They had a pretty impressive tap list with ~10 house brews available. Somewhat unusual, you could get 8 oz offerings as well as the traditional 16 oz. Of those, they included several interesting and unique beers (I tried the java porter and rye IPA which were both tasty). As it was the end of my beer stops for the day, I did not get to sample too many of their beers which was a little disappointing. I didn’t try any of their food; it looked average from what I could see. I would definitely like to come back, but probably in the day time when it is less crowded. Also, they only take cash here! |
