86 Wallaby’s is in a sort of dumpy neighborhood. During my visit some bums came in and made the clerk fetch several tall boys of Steel Reserve for which they paid with the handouts collected. People come here more for malt liquor and cheap handles of booze. That said, the beer selection is a little above average. A few slightly harder to find bottles will be here due to the lower demand of those kind of things at this store. I walked away with a four pack of Dirt Wolf which flew off the shelves everywhere else I visited. But super coveted beers don’t seem to make it here either. The prices are among the best I have seen anywhere, rivaling even Keg Liquors at Rite Aid and this is also helped by the 4.5% sales tax. |
58 Huge store with a good selection of both bombers, single bottle and mix a sixer. Found a couple of stone and great divide beers i havent had before. Friendly service. Good prices. |
62 Stopped by after grabbing a beer around the corner at Copper Kettle - large warehouse liquor store - long wall of coolers, about 2/3 filled with macros, including one whole cooler with 40s of malt liquor (we are pretty much in Aurora here) - a respectable selection of micros, with a fairly large mix a six selection - a smattering of random 750s from Boulevard, Bruery, etc. - a few belgian and British imports, but nothing extensive - reasonable prices - probably good if you live over here, but nothing worth going out of your way for. |
64 Pretty good singles selection, though nothing special by any stretch of the imagination. Pretty good mix six selection. I stop by on occasion since it’s close by but if you’re not from the area, it’s not worth a trip in my opinion. Shitters: n/a |
66 Lame warehouse setting, but nice mix-a-6 selection. Not a shabby collection, but missing some rarities that would score it higher. Kinda rude staff. However, great prices and super low 4.5% sales tax. |
