Augustiner an der Frauenkirche

2018-07-30 If you are in Dresden, bavarian beer is not a thing what you are looking for. But just happened, that went there. Usually, official embassies of Augustiner have Edelstof from wooden cask, but because it was hot as hell monday, they couldn't predict how many people gonna come, so they haven't popped one on my visit. Nevertheless, even from KEG, Augustiner's Edolstof and Helles are one of best in theirs categories. It was strange, that there was a anglo-sax style bar to sit by, so had a chat with bartender. Small, but nice detail. Beer, as everywhere in Dresden center, is expensive as hell.

As you would expect from an Augustiner pub - very Bavarian. Absolutely fine but nothing exciting. Unfortunately no Maximator.

Pretty much looks like the other Augustiner places I’ve been too. Service was mildly confusing - sometimes non-existing and sometimes very nice. Food was pretty good - quite traditional German dishes. Fair selection of Augustiner beer, but nothing to impressive. Convenient place for decent brew and some food.

Nice cozy Augustiner brewpub. Good service, great food. They dont have all of Augustiner’s beers but is a great place to stop for a beer break on a touristic city. Fantastic location.

Quite a busy place and trying to make you feel you are in Bavaria, while Dresden has lots to offer. Bavarian beers, while I was looking for the local beers. Did not have anything to eat, but it looked good. OK place.

Very busy on a Sunday night. Service was good, the beer was good and the food was good. So alles gut! But there are local beers available in Dresden so I didn’t have any interest to have more than one here in Little Munich.

Great place located into the heart of Dresden. Great service and food the prices isn’t so good. But you can drink Augustiner.

Munich embassy in Dresden, located in the - newly erected - historic centre; semi-modern, light bavarian interior, patio in front of the pub offering great views to the rebuilded Frauenkirche; all the Augustiner beers (including the seasonals) are available here, even the - in Munich very hard to find - excellent Augustiner Pils comes here fresh from the tap in a very good quality, the Edelstoff is served directly from a wooden barrel (in summer); quite decent meals (bavarian and saxonian specialties at very merciful prices (in the touristy heart of Dresden) are served the whole day. A must for those, who want to drink some reasonable beers in Dresden......
