Nina’s is a random little mini-market with an impressive bottle selection given the size of the place. If someone hadn’t told you about it you when never think of stopping past. They have plenty of interesting UK, American & Scandinavian beers on offer. Plenty of stuff like Mikkeller, Kernel, Alechemy, Tempest etc. They had a couple of things not available elsewhere in Edinburgh. Worth a visit, especially considering it’s so close to Hanging Bat & Cloisters.

Visited yesterday, not that easy to find - no sign on the outside for Ninas. Just loads of yellow. 20 min walk from the city center bring a backpack to carry the beers;). Very friendly owner that was pretty proud over the selection. Bend over and look behind bottles - you might find old and odd gems - but be sure to check BB... Close to the Cloister pub 1 min away. Great sellection of Kernel and Molen beers etc. Tempest is a very nice brewery... unfortunatly found this out a couple of hours to late;)

Visited on Saturday 8th December ’12. Right between Cloisters and the Hanging Bat (2 or so minutes from either) if you want to build this into a crawl as I did. As others have touched on a dingey mini market with a pretty decent beer selection at reasonable prices. Quite a few Dutch and Belgian offerings as well as a few from the US and plenty of Scottish micro stuff. I picked up 3 winners from Tempest amongst others. Guy serving knew his stuff and had a little chat about beer as I paid. Reccomended and whilst a 10/15 walk from the centre of town, if you’re doing a pub crawl easily incorporated as touched on above.

Quite an amazing sight to walk into a convenience store and find a shelf of De Molen. Not a huge selection, but wonderfully varied. Has the same ownership as Brauhaus?

WOW. I just found this place by a coincidence. Planned to buy some food before The Brauhaus opened. Thought this was an ordinary off licence. What an outstanding range off bottles. The man behind the desk could do a well guiding as well. Recomendable.

Owner is a real beer aficionado and up for a chat about his collection. Shop does not appear to have this treasure from its appearance---it even has a faded Tennents sign! Could be a bit better stocked on Belgian beers, but that is a personal bias.

What a surprise. Small but interesting selection of good beer. De Molen, Mikkeller, Kernel, Marble... Good pricing too. Albeit, it is a dingy convenience store, but reminiscent of similar beer/grocery stores around Europe.

Fantastic shop! Staggering range of beers for what is otherwise just your average convenience store. Beers from around the world, your bound to see something new. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to discuss the range with you and listen to recommendations! The prices are competitive too.

A unusual combination of newsagent and craft beer shop. Great selection of beers and very helpful owner. I’ll ne heading here a lot since it’s only a 10 minute walk from my office.
