64 A cool old school brewery on Brewer's Alley. Located in an industrial sector, this taproom is very old school, with 2 rooms, 15 taps, a mix of mainstream and some one offs. Flight of 4 for 9$. Beers are ok, very old school. No food but free popcorn available. |
70 Definitely a place to visit when In Edmonton...not amazing...but not bad at all. Seem to be nice people...service was good. They had 8 beers when I visited...Sunburst session IPA was good...Dragon IIPA even better. Aprikat and Full Moon were also noteworthy. If you are visiting Edmonton craftbeer places for 2 days or more...this is the second day place. |
70 A #yegbeer institution. Industrial strip mall tasting room isn't anything that drives in beer crowd. but a good spot to pick up growlers and pony kegs on the reg for your weekend needs. Dragon series is cool, and some of the back alley brews are pretty snazzy. |
70 Decent taproom here where they will let you sample the beers, though you must ask and they dole them out half grudgingly. A couple of interesting things on tap and all their basic beer lineup. They gave away a holiday beer bottle for free when you bought anything here, and it was actually decent. Prices were cheap. |
72 I strip mall tasting room that isn’t particularly nice, but functional. Service is pretty good as it is the brewers and staff of the brewery that take care of you. They always have a seasonal or 2 on. This place shines in the way it supports the local community and hosts home brewing dinners among other things. Good people, just average beer. |
66 Charming little place in an industrial strip mall. 7 beers on tap for growler fills or for sampling, and bottles available to go. The guy serving the beers was super friendly, passionate and knowledgeable about the beers and the local scene, and was very generous in giving free samples. Limited hours only on the weekend, but it’s a nice place to stop. |
46 Stopped in just before heading back to Calgary one day. Was excited as I like Alley Kat a lot and I’ve met Neil and his wife before and they are great people, BUT this place was a let down. Small tasting bar, but the guy working there didn’t answer anything but yes or no to questions and overall didn’t seem super interested in serving us, but he was polite enough. Few awkward moments of silence while my gf drank. She then asked about shirts and was told they are uni-sex. No they aren’t uni-sex, it’s men’s shirt. Even for the smallest size, you would have to be a larger women to comfortably wear it. Bought some beer and vowed not to come back. No point to stop here as even liquor stores have the same or better selection of Alley Kat beers. Tasting room is a total after thought unfortunately. |
90 Best brewery in Edmonton! Neil is a great supporter of the home brewing community and the service in the building is impeccable. Edmonton is a better place with Alley Kat!! |
58 Nothing special as a brewery tour, nice little tasting room. Always someone here as best thing going in Edmonton, and best beer brewed in Alberta. Trendy products in store. Great for tasting latest production fresh. |
84 Hosted a friend’s bachelor party complete with a tour and free samples. Also stopped by several occasions to pick up beer or sample seasonal offerings.
Great service and always great selection of their beers. |
