86 We visited due to the review in the Sauce Magazine and weren’t disappointed. They primarily serve great pizzas with craft beers as a sideline. We tried a Belgium and a German brew, both were delicious, but so was the pie. I wanted to try the Devil Dancer, but they were out, so were went for the European beers. We arrived at opening time, so no waiting issue, but the place was filled by the time we left. We would definitely go again. |
76 Stopped in for my second visit last night. Peel is a restaurant that sells mostly pizza and it might be the best pizza in the St. Louis metro area. A very nice craft beer selection, too. I had a couple of pints of Big Sky Cowboy Porter. They probably a couple of dozen different beers to try. Our waitress last night was a self described beer snob and she seemed to know her stuff. The restaurant seems to pull off both a touch of elegance and a comfortable place to dine. The problem with it is that there are often huge wait lists. We went early on a Thursday and they had open tables. Weekend evenings, well forget about it. Also, it is dine in only. No to-go orders. |
