88 A must visit if passing through the area, upmarket farm shop & cafe. Extensive range of beers, mostly from Devon but selected breweries from other regions also stocked. |
70 Massive, high end, farmshop type complex Between Exeter & Exmouth. There is quite an extensive beer and cider selection, both craft and the more traditional styles in 500ml bottles. It's worth a look if in the area |
92 Excellent shopping area just outside Exeter near Topsham. Visited and bought around 50 beers/ciders and could easily have bought 50 more. What a selection! Guy in charge of beer section gave a 10% discount too and packed all beers ready for going. Excellent service! |
76 Visited 14/7/2019. Wasn’t a primary place target but we detoured as we were leaving Exeter to head to Dorset and very glad we did. Excellent selection of local beers and ciders. Came away with loads. The chap in charge of the drinks section was very helpful. Lots else on offer in the complex if people in your party aren’t into beers. Little bit pricey but the 10% quantity discount helped out. Recommended if wanting to bulk up on rates. |
52 Visited on 14th Nov 2018. High-end Farm Shopping Complex with a very impressive (but very expensive) beer selection. Would have loved to say I bought loads of beers, but although there were many new rates for me I just couldn't bring myself to pay the asking price for the bottles or cans and left with just 4. Been back twice now, but will not be returning; three beers I got from them were 'Skunked', either left in the sun or displayed under bright lights before being returned to the selling racks/baskets. Wasted a fair bit of money. Score now dropped accordingly! |

76 Visited late morning on Friday 29/04/16 this bustling farm shop was already very busy. Located just 2 miles from the M5, Darts Farm provides for a quick and easy stop off heading in or out of Devon or Cornwall.
Aside from the beer there are lots of other items on offer, largely high end food produce but also a kids section and general countrified bric a brac. The beer and drinks section is located diagonally left as you enter and takes up a fair sized space. Beer is roughly laid out in 5 areas ... craft, other UK, foreign, Devon then Cornwall. On top of the beer there is a wide selection of cider and perries including a tasting counter with half a dozen barrels of cider where you can fill up growlers. Despite the crowds we were served immediately by friendly staff.
Overall a solid selection and well worth the stop ... guaranteed to be ticks on offer here ! |
80 Darts Farm is a large farm shop complex located only 15 minute’s drive south of Exeter. It is incredibly popular and quite rightly so. The alcohol selection is located deep within past a cornucopia of high-end farm produce which is impossible not to succumb to. Staff are friendly and only too happy to offer tasters of cheese and meats. The beer and cider section is pretty impressive and is the size of a small specialist shop. Focus is clearly on local and nearby counties with a whole load of breweries I had never heard of before. The selection ranges from more traditional ales to modern beers and ice ciders. Good prices and helpful service from the "cider dude". If you are driving around Exeter area this place is a must. |
70 Large farm shop with a decent selection of local and regional beer. With a few thrown in from further afield. Staff didn’t appear to be that knowledgeable about the beer.Worth a visit, and there is plenty more to do there than just the farm shop. |
78 Mahoosive Farm shop with a beer selection that would put some dedicated beer shops in the shade. Much concentration on the South West as you would expect but there is a smattering of other stuff. Elsewhere there are aisles and aisles of the type of things you would expect from a farm shop but with a much expanded selection. Beer prices are pretty reasonable here, the food prices not so much. We had some delicious fresh fish and chips here, it made for a nice break (and a great beer stock up) before driving on to St Ives. |
